About me
Jennifer Lemus
I’m Jennifer Lemus, a family law attorney dedicated to guiding my clients through some of their most challenging times. I graduated cum laude from Central Christian College of Kansas before earning my Juris Doctorate in 2011 from Washburn University School of Law, where I also received a Certificate in Family Law. During law school, I served as Student Editor and later as Student Editor-in-Chief for Family Law Quarterly, a nationally published scholarly journal. My dedication extended beyond the classroom as I volunteered with CASA, representing the best interests of children in the legal system.
After practicing law in Kansas, I returned to my home state of Washington. I took some time to raise my family and broaden my experience by working in various roles. From answering 911 calls and setting up a statewide support program for home childcare providers to assisting front-end operations at a privately-owned medical practice and coordinating executive logistics for an international company, I’ve gained a diverse skill set that equips me with a unique perspective and a broad toolkit of knowledge and skills that benefit my clients.
Today, I focus on family law, where I bring my meticulous attention to detail and client-centric approach to every case. I understand that each case is unique, and I work hard to fully comprehend my clients' situations and objectives. My goal is to educate my clients about their options, advocate vigorously on their behalf, and help them navigate the legal system in alignment with their goals and priorities.
I’m passionate about my work and genuinely enjoy going to court to advocate for my clients. I recognize that clients often come to us during crises, and my mission is to guide them through the legal aspects of their challenges so they can move forward confidently into the next chapter of their lives.
Outside of work, I love living in Yakima and being involved in my community. My kids and I enjoy fishing, sports, and taking full advantage of the beautiful Eastern Washington sunshine.
